When do I receive my Program Documents?Visitors Insurance can be purchased online for next-day coverage. Often, a confirmation email, along with a soft-copy certificate of insurance or digital ID card will be emailed to you. It is important to keep this soft-copy with you, and to send this copy over to your loved one in case they need it during their travel. The confirmation emails will also have additional information pertaining to policy documents.
Within 5-7 business days, you can expect to receive a physical copy of the certificate of insurance, ID card, and other program documents in the email. Medical EmergenciesOlder visitors who are above 60 years of age may likely need to visit a hospital emergency room due to a life-threatening illness or medical event, such as a heart attack or stroke. When these medical events arise, you want to make sure you have the proper insurance coverage to protect your family in your time of need. INF Premier & INF Elite Network will cover any pre-existing medical emergency fully. INF Plans will provide coverage not only in emergency situations related to pre-existing conditions, but also follow up visits with medical specialists & lab tests related to pre-existing conditions.
Doctor's Appointments / CVS Minute ClinicWe suggest doctors visits or a stop by the CVS minute clinic for smaller issues, such as headaches, stomach aches, fevers, coughs, etc. These visits are typically low cost and will probably cost less than $100 for each visit. Additionally, INF members get access to prescription discounts- so picking up medicine will be a breeze!

What should when my Visitor is Sick?In any medical emergency, we highly recommend calling 911 and seeking medical attention from the nearest medical health care provider.
For issues which do not present an immediate medical need, we suggest making an appointment with a doctor, visiting your local urgent care clinic, or seeking an initial treatment at CVS Minute Clinic. Urgent Care VisitsFor less life-threatening conditions, we suggest visiting the Urgent care clinic. These types of conditions can range from skin conditions, to a virus. INF Plans work with the First Health PPO Network, one of the largest PPO Networks in the country sponsored by Aetna. When enrolled in the INF Health Insurance Plan, you may search for the urgent care clinic in the First Health PPO Network. This will afford you a variety of benefits: 1) Insurance readily accepted by Health Care providers, 2) Discounted, pre-negotiated medical rates for services provided, 3) Cashless Claims - meaning you will NOT have to pay out-of-pocket for medical expenses incurred at the onset.
Payments & ClaimsWhen first visiting a health care provider, show them a copy of your insurance ID & certificate. They will call the insurance company to verify the insurance. From this point, the health care provider will bill the insurance company directly and the claims will be paid by the insurance.
In the event your insurance is not accepted by a health care provider, there are claims forms available on each of the insurance providers website. Simply follow the claims instructions, submit the receipts to the insurance company. and wait 6 weeks (for INF Plans) or up to 3 months to get reimbursed for your medical treatment. |
