Pre-Existing Conditions Explained
What are Pre-Existing Conditions? |
How are Pre-Existing Conditions Determined? |
India Network Policies define pre-existing conditions as any condition within the past 12 months which has: 1) Worsened, become acute, or exhibit symptoms which cause a person to seek medical treatment 2) required the used of prescribed drugs (such as Lipitor or Janumet) 3) Been treated by a Doctor or treatment recommended by a Doctor.
The INF Elite Network & INF Premier Plan (underwritten by CHUBB) cover all pre-existing conditions. This means we cover outpatient care (i.e. specialist care, doctors visits, & urgent care clinic) with regard to pre-existing conditions. Why do only INF Plans cover Pre-Existing Conditions?India Network has been providing the community with visitors insurance for over 30 years. Since we were the first in this industry, we have the longest track record & claims record. We manage our own programs, allowing us to work directly with the underwriters and create unique programs for the community.
Other visitors insurance providers are only brokers with no interest in helping you choose the right plan. They are more interested in their commission check than anything else. Because India Network is a community organization, we care about our members and their needs. For these reasons, we are the only visitors insurance which provide full pre-existing condition coverage. Can I get a complete Physical Check Up done in the USA?Physicals & regular Doctor's check ups are not covered by any visitors insurance policy. These are considered preventive care, which are not covered by these types of policies. We suggest completing a full health check up in your home country before traveling to the USA.
Can I go to an Eye Exam or seek Dental Care?INF Plans do not cover vision, and only cover dental in case of an accident. That being said, India Network provides a wonderful Dental, Vision, & Prescription Drug Discount Card program available through the Careington. This discount care provides up to 60% off Dental work, free eye exams, and up to 20% off prescription drugs.
Are pregnancy & prenatal care covered?INF Plans will only cover pregnancy is the child is conceived after the insurance policy is effective. However, India Network does offer Birth Tourism packages. These packages arrange for the mother to receive 3 pre-natal visits, the birth, and accommodation during their travel to Miami, FL. These packages are only available for India Network members.

An analysis of our claims data showed the average heart attack in the United States costs $7,300, with San Jose the highest at $10,800. Pre-Existing Coverage for Visitors is the best way to protect your family against an unexpected financial burden of large medical bills. INF Plans have a claims payments historical rate of 100%. This means we will pay all eligible claims out, no matter what. Get the peace of mind you need with India Network. Will Visitors Insurance cover a surgery I need? The answer is Yes & No. Surgeries regarding a pre-existing condition will be covered underneath the INF Premier & INF Elite Network Plans. Emergency surgeries (i.e. acute onset) will be covered underneath the INF Choice & INF Advantage Plan. That being said, if your intent is to travel to USA to seek medical treatment, there is no visitors insurance which will cover the surgery as this is considered medical tourism.
