How does trip cancellation and interruption coverage apply?
It reimburses for forfeited, non-refundable, unused payments or deposits if the insured must cancel or interrupt their trip due to covered reasons. The interruption benefit may also include coverage for additional transportation expenses.
What is a pre-existing medical condition?A pre-existing condition is one that was first diagnosed, had a change in diagnosis, or required a change in medication during a certain time period immediately preceding and including the effective date of the travel insurance coverage. For the Essential Basic plan, the time period is 180 days.

Can I purchase a plan without medical coverage for my trip?No. All of the packages include medical expense coverage
Can we get a refund of travel insurance plan after purchase?
Travel Guard plans include a Fifteen Day Look where customers may request a refund in writing to [email protected] within 15 days of the purchase date or prior to departure, whichever happens first. The customer will receive a refund of the plan cost excluding any service fees.
How do I file a claim?Call us at 1.800.826.1300, our claims department is available Monday - Friday 7 am to 7 pm CST. A representative will start the claim with you over the phone and explain what needs to be provided in order to process your claim. The form will then be mailed, faxed or emailed to you for signature and you will be asked to provide the appropriate documents.
